Gray Brother kicked up dust as he ground to a halt just behind Shere Khan, not expecting the chase to end so quickly. The soot-colored wolf's bleeding visage expressed bewilderment, so he was glad Shere Khan couldn't read his face.
The golden eyes of the young canid went to Kopa, the cub he had promised to get home somehow. In this situation, he felt utterly helpless. There was the poor bleeding woman, wounded because of him, about to be killed by Shere Khan if Kopa didn't give the Virtue—and probably himself—over to the Forces of Evil. That was unthinkable, but what could he do? Gray Brother was supposed to be in this double-agent deal for the long hall, right? He couldn't blow his cover over this, but he was having a hard time convincing himself not to.
Suddenly the panting Taraha's Orb-colored gaze landed on Mushu. The red lizard thing was unlike anything the spy had ever seen before, but it definitely seemed to be on Mulan's side in all of this. Would it try to help? Even the open-minded Gray Brother couldn't see how anything so small could be of any use against a tiger at this point, but his mind was frantically grasping at the hope that either the Virtue or the lion Prince would get out of the clutches of Evil this night, even if only because of a strange reptile.

Kopa's wide eyes darted back and forth between Shere Khan and the woman. What could he do? This Virtue he held in his paw might be of great help to his father, his homeland, and to those who were on his side. On the other hand, he didn't want to be selfish and throw this woman's life away just because he had decided to keep the Orb. What would his family say or do if that happened?
The lion prince almost wanted to ask the tiger why he was giving him such a hard choice when he was just a cub. However, he had been around Shere Khan just long enough to know how heartless he was, and that the bigger cat would no doubt ignore him unless he said something along the lines of "yes," or "no."
Then suddenly, it occurred to him that this was only a little bit different from a scenario that his father, Simba, had been in when he was a cub. Simba and Zazu had told him about it once before.
The prince straightened up and bravely looked Shere Khan in the eye. "Before I answer that, tell me one thing." said Kopa, "Why should I trust you? My Dad listened to my great uncle, Scar, and ran away when he was my age. And then Scar nearly destroyed the Pridelands. So tell me, Shere Khan, why should I trust you? Won't you just kill her either way? Besides, what does she have do with you?"

Shan Yu's sword had come closer than Akela had thought. Although he hadn't felt anything at first, beneath the old wolf's thick fur on his neck, a thin trickle of blood flowed down just behind his shoulder from where the massive Hun's sword had sliced a shallow cut. But Akela had dealt with worse injuries before, so the wily wolf acted as if he was uninjured.
Still circling behind the human, he paused, and, muscles tensed to spring aside from any sudden move from his opponent, scratched insolently at his ear as he planned his next move, looking the man over. It seemed obvious as he continued circling. After a moment, he darted towards the back of the man's left leg, as far from the sword's reach as he could be while still being behind the Hun, teeth bared and ready to sink into the man's flesh once more.
---
Only Quasimodo's stature saved him from being knocked aside by the bear's massive paw as he ducked. Pausing a moment in near-shock as he realized how close he had come to being smashed by the raging creature before him, he straightened up, hefted his club, and jumped at the bear's head, aiming a powerful blow at its eye. Tall as the bear was, the hunchback would have to resort to jumping to strike at something vulnerable. One look at the bear's thick body suggested aiming at its torso would be about a useful as trying to kick down Notre Dame.

Suddenly a force field was put around Mulan. It was so close to her it seemed like a second skin of protection against Khan's claws, and a few moments later, the Virtue was snatched out of Kopa's hands and floated in mid-air, then sort of ran away from the scene, although there was a scream and the Virtue fell out of the invisible Violet's hands and onto the ground. Violet was exposed for a few brief seconds, but she quickly got up and picked up the Virtue while going invisible again, although the Virtue floating and the mud on the feet of her costume were still visible, but just looked like they where flying in mid-air.

As soon as the Virtue floated out of Kopa's paw, he tried to grab at it, and was about to growl as best a cub his age could, but when he saw the Virtue floating in middair, he was stunned. He had never expected the Orb to do that.
"Wha--... But if that thing can do that, then why--" he said to himself, but was cut off when the Orb suddenly dropped to the ground, and a girl wearing a strange red suit suddenly appeared next to it. Kopa's mouth and eyes were wide open. He had never seen anything so extraordinary. Then, the girl did another extraordinary thing: she picked the orb back up and disappeared again!
"WOW!" Kopa exclaimed. "I've never seen anybody do that before!"
Then, his heart sank when he saw the Virtue still floating in middair, and the mud on the girl's boots. Still visible. "Uh-oh."

[Kopa, if you want to, feel free to have Kopa try to interfere here, if you want an in-thread explanation for his injury.]
Shere Khan was just as surprised as Kopa when the Orb floated into the air, and flew away like an overgrown firefly. He was equally surprised by the sudden glowing air that served to protect the fallen Hero from his claws. But his shock turned into anger when, for a brief moment, a young human female appeared, dropping the Virtue before grabbing it again, and vanishing.
But the Orb hadn't vanished, and the big tiger didn't need to see the young Man-Cub to chase after her. He could hear her panicked breathing from here, and perfectly see the mud on her feet. Khan glanced back at Taraha fro a brief moment.
"Forget the cub. Get the Orb!" he ordered, ignoring both Kopa and Mulan as he prepared to launch himself after the fleeing Violet.

(OOC: Thanks, but in "Healing What Has Been Hurt," I was referring to those three scratches that Shere Khan gave him.)

Ty had been one of the first to see the firework go off. Some of the other Forces of Good might be a bit more awestruck or confused, but he knew that fireworks didnt just happen every day in the savannah. He also knew that where Mulan was from, fireworks were not in short supply.
Being of semi-military mind due to his training as a Space Ranger, the brown-headed young man used what was left of the power in his suit to fly out to the Gorge. It took longer than he expected, and he didn't have much time to alert the rest of the Forces of Good. As usual, he'd convinced himself that he could handle whatever it was alone.
The large-eyed Ranger was not prepared for the seriousness of what he saw, however many galaxies he might have visited.
Two dogs were grappling with each other at the bottom of the ravine, near an enormous black mass that was swinging a club-like paw at the disfigured hero known as Quasimodo. A large man was swinging a crooked blade at old Akela, and, most distressing of all, Mulan was laying, wounded, just underneath him, a small red creature crouched at her side. Before he could decide what to do about all of this, Ty's large eyes were drawn to something else.
A huge tiger, a younger, tanner-looking version of Akela, and a baby lion's attention was on the same thing—a glowing, pulsing, radiating Orb that seemed to be traveling by itself. It shone with golden light, and Ty's scanners couldn't make heads or tails of it. Suddenly, the now-familiar pain in his shoulder where NOS-4-A2 had bitten him on Canis Lunis faded. The headache he often acquired at night disappeared. Parsec was filled with a sudden burst of heroism. He remembered the good old days, side by side with Buzz Lightyear, before he'd begun to feel jealous and bitter. He recalled the more fun evenings in training, playing galactic card games in their quarters or blasting dummies with their lasers...
In any other scenario, Ty would have eagerly flown down to the Orb and gone for the glory, scooping up the powerful Virtue and flying away to the camp in victory, probably with a few parting shots of both laser-fire and taunts at the Forces of Evil. But this time, transfixed by the warm glow of the sphere, he changed his mind. What was he doing, hovering there? Someone was hurt! The Orb, and all of it's warm wonderfulness, could wait.
Ty glided down towards Mulan, engines sputtering, but not before firing a bolt of laser across the ground in front of Shere Khan, Gray Brother, and Kopa. He didn't know who was friends and who was enemies over there, but until he was sure, distracting them that much more from the Orb couldn't hurt. Then the skinny human turned his large eyes back on the injured Asian woman, giving a cautious glance to Shan Yu. For now, the Hun seemed preoccupied with good old Akela.
"What—what happened?" He asked Mushu, ignoring what he knew to be standard procedure at the sight of so much blood. He knew deep down that there wasn't time for questions—he should just get Mulan out of here. But he felt frozen, suddenly, as the comforting light of the Virtue ebbed farther away.

Gray Brother was bewildered as he watched the Orb suddenly move on it's own. Then Shere Khan couldn't seem to touch Mulan. Kopa was free of any protection possessing the Virtue might have entailed. A young girl who could make herself invisible was running off with the magical sphere. To top it all off, a red-hot bolt of heat came down in a concentrated ray and sizzled through the ground just in front of himself and the tiger. Golden eyes finding the source in a flying Man, the wolf noted that the mysterious hero was kneeling by Mulan. At least someone would be there for the Asian woman that he still felt guilty about.
Shere Khan turned to look at Taraha. "Forget the cub. Get the Orb!"
This time the ash-colored wolf didn't debate mentally what was right and what was wrong. Shere Khan was already launching himself after the Orb. 'Forgetting the cub' was just what Kopa needed. As the canine sprang into a bound, he paused ever so briefly near the Prince's ear and bared his teeth so that anyone who might be watching would think he was taunting the cub as he whispered, "This is your chance. Go to that Man over there, tell him who you are. Don't turn back or stop. Go!"
Praying that the lion listened and wasn't stopped by any of the occupied Forces of Evil, Gray Brother bounded after Violet. His plan was the same as before, when Kopa had been fleeing with the Orb; race Shere Khan, get there first, and free the Virtue in a much less violent way than the tiger would, giving the foolish invisible girl time to get away. At this point, there was no way for Taraha to stop Shere Khan from getting the Orb. He could only do what he could to protect the Forces of Good without blowing his cover and hope they rescued the magical sphere.

Shan Yu twisted, realizing just a little too late that Akela was going for his other leg. He was distracted—not only by the bizarre nature of what was occurring with the Orb, but also by the flying young man who had come out of the night sky and was kneeling by the successfully stabbed Mulan.
The wolf's jaws did not sink in this time, but the sharp incisors did slice through the Hun's lower calf. With another bellow of rage and pain, the yellow-eyed man followed through with his twist, not by slashing with his sword, but by reaching down with one massive hand and grasping at a gloveful of the back of Akela's neck, meaning to heave the old wolf up off of the ground with all the strength he possessed.
If it worked, he would draw back his blade in his other hand and hope to spear the wretched canine through with one thrust for all of his snapping and biting. If struggling with the elderly pack leader became too strenuous, he would throw Akela as far and hard as he could towards the Gorge's wall. Either way, this touch-and-to, in-and-out fighting was no longer to the angry Shan Yu's liking.
