Even though Tahara was speaking quietly, Kopa heard every word the wolf said perfectly clear. As soon as Tahara bounded away, Kopa ran to the Man who was next to Mulan, and had to keep himself from being distracted by the Man's bright-colored armor as he said, "Sir, I'm Kopa, the King Simba's son, and this woman and I both need your help. She's been stabbed by that man over there,"--he pointed toward Shan Yu--"and I've been kept prisoner in the Outlands for a long time, and we both need to get back to the Pridelands."

Vi knew that the other Forces of Evil had seen her and were now running after her, but she knew even if she hadn't fallen then they would still try and catch the flying Virtue.
But all she had heard was right; this glowing Orb had given her a feeling of hope and happiness, one feeling she rarely had, so somehow, she was confident she could somehow escape the tiger and wolf that were after her if she managed to play this right. Violet looked behind her and created a force field low enough to the ground that it was hidden just beneath eye level, hoping they wouldn't see and trip, hence giving her more time to get back to the Pride Lands.

Once again, the old wolf felt the satisfying feeling of his teeth slicing through flesh. True, he hadn't succeeded in crippling the massive Hun, but he had so far retained the advantage in their fight. The shallow cut he had received from the Man's sword was a mere scratch in comparison to the injuries he had inflicted on the Hun's legs.
But he had misjudged the Hun's speed, and reflexes. He snarled in fury and self-disgust as he felt Shan Yu's massive hand seize him by the scruff of his neck. As he was lifted from the ground, Akela twisted, snapped, and lashed out with his legs, raking at the Hun's face and body with all of his strength, hoping to catch the Hun's eyes with his claws. At the same time, he twisted his head around, trying to catch the Man's arm with his snapping fangs. It might be an awkward angle, but if his teeth closed on the Hun's arm, he could still inflict a nasty bite. If he was to die here, he would die fighting.

Shere Khan failed to hear Taraha's whispered command to Kopa as he raced towards the fleeing Orb, once again ignoring everything around him. But his keen ears did catch the sounds of the young wolf's foot-falls, racing alongside him. But he didn't show any sign that he knew the wolf was there beyond a subtle flick of his ear. Unlike the wolf, he was a solitary hunter. He lived, hunted, and traveled alone, going where he wished, when he wished.
And, right now, all of his attention was focused on the Orb, and the strange female Man carrying it. And, while her plan wold have been a sound one if employed against a taller creature, or another Man, a force field placed beneath his line of sight was too short to do much more than make him stumble for a bit, and he was forced to slow up briefly to regain his balance, but he neither stopped nor fell. If anything, his brief stumble might tip Taraha off, allowing the young wolf to avoid the trap completely. But, whether he did or not, Shere Khan quickly regained his balance, and resumed racing after the Orb, quickly closing the distance with long, powerful strides.

Vi glanced back and turned back to her visible state. Since she was carrying a big glowing Prb there wasn't really any point, but still, she had to keep running, breathing heavily. For some reason she started to run a lot faster then she normally would, but she knew that Khan would be able to catch her. She put a medium sized force field wall behind her so he would have to go around it or fly over it...but she was pretty sure tigers couldn't fly, though.

Post by Gray Brother on Dec 31, 2013 23:08:24 GMT
Gray Brother picked up speed, letting sins long legs carry him more quickly over the African landscape, kicking up dust. He felt as though a weight had been lifted off of him now that Kopa was making his way towards safety. This spying job was a lot easier to bear, in a way, when Taraha was the only one in constant danger.
He had just reached a speed that kept him in stride with the hip of Shere Khan—who'd had a head start—when the big cat suddenly stumbled. Gray Brother almost didn't have time to understand what had happened, but his golden eyes quickly noted the strange violet-colored wave that went through the force field, making it no longer invisible for just a split second.
He coiled his paws beneath himself and sprang over the shield hurdle, landing neatly on the other side. Instantly, the soot-colored wolf felt swamped with guilt. Why had he done that? He should have let himself be tripped! That would have given this female Man, with her pitiful fleeing attempt, that much more chance to get away with the Orb!
Too late for that now. Shere Khan was back up and running, so Taraha picked up his own pace. If the tiger reached Violet first, she would be massacred and the Orb would go to the Forces of Evil. But if Taraha could get to her before Khan, they might still have the Virtue, but at least he could give Violet a chance to escape.
With that in mind, Gray Brother didn't feel as bad when he saw the teenager turn visible and throw out her hand in his direction. Another magical field! He had time to think before his body instantly reacted, skidding and bounding around it. Violet was going faster now, but she was still only on two legs in contrast to his four. He sprang, almost pouncing, aiming for the young girl's back with his jaws open to reach past her shoulder for the Orb. If he landed on her, his weight would probably send them both to the ground, and he could snatch the Orb, push off of her, and flee back to the tiger for 'further orders'.

He knew that he had to run back to Pride Rock... Vi certainly kept telling him that, but he could not help but be bothered with the nagging feeling that he had to go back. Growling under his breath, he zipped along a tree as a quick turn around and zoomed back towards the open. Now that an Orb was among them now, bending the rules was needed this time.
The boy did not stop his running even when he saw a streak of red aiming to take down his sister who had something precious in her hands. He flexed his arms and held them out... delivering a sharp shove to the tiger's side in order to knock him down to buy Vi some time.
"UGH!" he growled, but the great cat was so big, his speed was thrown off and fell to the dry grass. Dash's eyes widened and he looked up.

Without losing a stride, Shere Khan looked the new force field with contempt. Tall as it was, it wasn't tall enough to prevent him from jumping over it. Yes, he'd lose some distance, since he'd have to effectively drop straight back down to the ground, but the chase was drawing to a close. But, just as he was gathering himself for the leap, a sudden blur, more sensed than really seen, slammed straight into his side with enough force to knock him over. As he rolled to his feet, Shere Khan was a bit shocked to see a Man-cub. Since when did Man-cubs run so fast?
Distracted, for the moment, from his pursuit of the Orb, the big tiger instead went after Dash, prowling forward before leaping at the fallen boy, claws outstretched, ready to rip him into bloody shreds.

Vi heard the tiger grunt and looked back to see Dash tackle him and also saw that wolf try to jump on her. She quickly put a force field wall between her and Gray Brother so he would crash into that, instead, and ran a few feet away from Gray Brother. She looked at Dash who gave her a idea."Dash, come here, quick!" She shouted, her grasp tightening on the Virtue.

"Eeeee-HAH!" Came a cackling cry from the dim shadows, and a blob of cobalt rolled over the African terrain, stopping in between the perilous Shere Khan and the endangered Dash. The ball sprang open like a spider uncurling itself after a fall, and before the tiger stood a short alien with four arms and a mouthful of teeth. "A-loha!" Barked the little mutant, obviously pleased to be saving the day and getting a chance to be involved in the fight.
Stitch stood protectively in front of Dash, who had so valiantly tried to protect his sister. Couldn't do anything about the wolf going after Violet--but she seemed to be taking care of herself, to that end! The blue alien knew that the shiny thing was the Orb and the tiger wasn't allowed to have it...or the human boy. He flexed his claws and launched himself straight at the tiger's face, hoping to pull a tactic that had worked on Gantu before, and been humiliatingly funny in the process; if Stitch landed safely, he would latch on to the big cat's head and cover up Shere Lhan's eyes with his whole body, which should cause the enemy to blunder around in a blind rage while Dash got away.
If he didn't land--well, he was indestructible, but the little boy wasn't. If Stitch was batted too far away to come to the young Incredible's aid again...
