"Nice... grumpy kitty..." the boy nervously smiled as he got back up, the moment the blue mutant took the spot in front of him.
Vi called out from several feet away. The alien thing jumped onto the cat's face and that was his chance. He sped to his sister.
"You okay, Vi!?" he asked, out of breath.

"Here." She said, giving him the Virtue, and then climbed up the cliff a little bit and jumped on top of Dash, but cast a force field around them so they where in a portable ball like they were back on the island when escaping Syndrome's guards. Surely once Dash got moving, they had the Virtue. And even if the tiger managed to catch them, he wouldn't be able to have enough strength to get rid of the feild so soon."Dash, run!!" Violet shouted, hovering over him and inside the force field.
"Oh, don't worry I am sure that firework was just an accident, which, by the way, should we have black or orange fireworks at the party?" Jack asked Mickey as the two were just outside the Med Den in Pride Rock and Mickey had sent a few heroes to see what the firework was.

He was prone to being stupid once in a while and almost dropped the precious virtue. In an instant it seemed, Vi put a force field around them both, and he took off without a second thought. Like a mouse in a ball, only 50 times better. It started up as slow and the tiger seemed to try and get after them. Soon enough, after he ran on air for a bit, the speed caught up with the force field and soon they were gliding. He kept his eyes on the giant monument ahead of them, sadly ignoring a few obstacles. They jumped over logs and zipped across rivers. Even sailing over ditches with so much speed, it simply did not matter.

Once again, Shere Khan found himself interrupted, and it infuriated him. But he wasn't taken completely by surprise. The strange creature that leaped at him had given itself away too soon for that. The big tiger almost doubled up on himself as he brought his massive paw smashing down at the blue creature before moving to attack the Man-cub. But, the brief distraction had proved to be too much. Once more, the Man-cub displayed that impossible speed, and zoomed away, Orb clutched in his hands, wrapped inside a glowing ball of blue.
Turnign his fury on the small creature that had distracted him, his claws lashed out, swiping furiously at the creature.

One minute Stitch was sailing through the air with a happy gurgling screech of delight, and the next a great big paw was flattening him into the ground, large, round nose-first. Luckily Shere Khan lifted his foot away from where he had successfully stomped 626 into the dirt to turn back to Dash, giving Stitch time to yank his head out of the African clay and shake it. His black eyes widened happily when he saw that the boy had gotten away with the Orb...in a shiny, violet bubble made of light! "Ooo-oooh!"
Before the easily distracted alien could admire Violet's sparkly handiwork any further, his supercomputer brain quickly registered the sound of razor-sharp claws making furrows in the air as they slashed down. The blue mutant just had time to raise all four of his chubby arms over himself, catching Khan's swipe as he once had with Gantu's fist when the shark-like alien tried to flatten him, gritting his teeth with the effort. It wasn't so much that Shere Khan's foot was heavy, but the force of the blow and the angle had nearly caught Stitch off guard, even with his abilities to life 3,000 times his own size. All sixteen of his little hand-talons were holding the big cat's paw at an awkward bend, so when Stitch changed his grunt to a mischievous little cackle of victory and tried to swing the tiger off of it's three remaining feet and swing it around and around, it took a lot of effort not to release the clawed paw.

Shan Yu's bold plan went out of his mind when the hard canine nails of Akela were in his face, and those teeth, flashing in the moonlight, were so up close and personal. The Hun hated to give any quarter to a mere animal, but this was getting out of hand. Unfamiliar voices, though he couldn't see them with all of his senses trained on the viciously fighting wolf in his grip, were raging from behind him. That blasted Mulan's firework must have brought in FOG reinforcements.
That was the second time the Asian girl had used fireworks to take away his victory. He tossed Akela as far as he could and gripped his sword defensively in front of him in case the old mongrel charged again while looking over his shoulder. The yellow eyes widened with dismay when they micked out the glow of the Orb, surrounded by another type of light, moving at an impossible speed towards the speck on the horizon that was Pride Rock. "No...!" he growled, but it was too late. They didn't have the speed, power, or numbers to intercept the Orb before it reached Pride Rock or storm the Forces of Good camp.
Shan Yu had done the impossible--entered enemy territory and got far enough in undetected to locate a Virtue...and then lost it. Failed. His first action of war after returning to life, his first mission as General of the Scouts of the Forces of Evil, ending in disgrace.
Of all the fearsome bellowing cries he had let loose that night, this one was the most blood-curdlingly horrendous, a howl of rage and insurmountable thirst for vengeance. He hadn't called for a retreat in centuries, literally...but he was still a military leader, despite his unbelievable honor and pride being shattered. "Forces of Evil!" shouted the warrior, funneling all of his anger into the volume of his voice, eyes fixed on Akela murderously as if it were all the old wolf's fault. The only time this wavered was to glance at Mulan's prone form-- at least he had stabbed his hated foe, though the laser-bearing youth was standing too protectively over her to capture Mulan. "Retreat! Fall back to the Termite Mounds! Slaughter as many as you can and move now!"
Gray Brother dizzily picked himself up after colliding with Violet's force field mid-air. He was able to hear General Shan Yu's call for retreat over his own painful wheezing and shook the blood out of his eyes, cut stinging. Despite all of his aches, hope and pride swelled in him. The Forces of Good had won. He could go back to the Outlands pretending to be defeated, but knowing that he had aided his true allegiances in his victory. The young wolf tipped back his head and let out a howl to summon the other Villains and spread the word--best get the evil ones out of Simba's land quickly. In the howl was a happy note--a Seeonee message to Akela that he believed this was a victory.
Then, with one last glance at Mulan and then his pack leader, the young wolf turned his legs towards the Border, calling for his comrades to follow. "Retreat, retreat! The Orb is lost, retreat!"

Violet sighed, knowing they had safely gotten away with the Virtue, and it gave her even more relief when she saw Mickey talking to Jack, so she stopped using the force field and ran towards them "Mickey, we got it, we got the Virtue!!" She shouted, running towards him and pointing at Dash, who was holding the Virtue.
Jack scratched his bald bone head and ran towards the direction Violet and Dash had just came from.

Shere Khan's eyes widened in disbelief when the strange blue creature not only survived being smashed to the ground, but proceeded to not only stand up, but stop his next swipe cold. But he remained as quick-witted as ever, and when he felt his body start to shift under the force exerted by the bizarre creature, he reacted by simply lifting his paw, at least momentarily hefting the creature off the ground.
He glanced back as Shan Yu bellowed in enormous rage, ears flattening against his head at the sound. Deciding he wouldn't get very far trying to maul this creature, the big tiger settled for doing what he could to dislodge it before fleeing. Swiping at it, smashing it against the ground again, biting it, and just trying to shake it off. Once it was no longer clinging to him, he would be gone.
---
Akela found himself flying through the air, shortly before he impacted against the wall of the gorge, letting out a grunting gasp as the breath was smashed from his body. He struggled to get his breath back as Shan Yu bellowed in rage, and he knew they had won this confrontation. They might have gotten the worst of it, as far as injuries went, but the Virtue was safe in their possession.
The old wolf struggled to his feet, meeting Shan Yu's fearsome glare without expression. Let him run. Let them all return in failure tot he Outlands. Now was not the time to fight a pitched battle. Despite the sharp pain, the Lone Wolf drew a deep breath, and let out a ragged howl of victory, acknowledging Grey Brother's message.
"Heroes! Hold your ground!" he rasped, struggling to be heard. Mulan would need immediate treatment. Slowly, the injured wolf made his way towards the woman's unconscious body. Only her breathing, low and ragged, let him know she was still alive. He looked up at Ty. "Can you fly her back to the camp?" he asked, his voice still hoarse.

"Owww, oof, ack!" Stitch grunted and yelped gutturally as Shere Khan chewed and flailed and clawed. It didn't break his indestructible skin, but neither had the three semi trucks that had run him over the night before he'd met Lilo, and that still hurt, too. He held on as long as he could, but the big kitty didn't seem worth it, even if it was both painful and fun to get tossed around, once the call for retreat happened. So Stitch released and stuffed his lower half into his mouth, curling into a ball and bouncing over the African soil.
Once he'd landed, he got up, clutching his head with one set of arms and brushing himself off with the other. "Ooh," he groaned, shaking himself. Feeling a little better, he hopped this way and that, black eyes wide, surveying the battlefield. When the cobalt alien realized all the bad guys were leaving, his gremlinish little face lit up with wide-mouthed delight and he threw all four fists in the air in victory. "Yeahhh!"
Of course, this was short-lived when he saw the wolf run over to something everyone was crowded around. Stitch dropped to all-sixes and skittered through the tall grass a few yards until he could see Mulan and gasped, ears drooping down behind his head at the sight of her, beady eyes wide with worry. "Choota." He whimpered quietly.

Dash's chest felt like exploding and he panted. As Vi notified them, he held the virtue close, his eyes wide from the rush back there. He looked up at the Skeleton and the Mouse, nodding as she said that they have found it.
It was the prettiest, brightest thing he had ever seen. He never knew what these looked like....
