The Recording of The Struggle for the Orbs,
Year 1,
By Master Yen Sid, Sorcerer of the Stars
July:
On the eleventh of July, our tale picks up again. In Thebes, an Ancient Greek city suffering from weather and monster calamities that was included in the Merging of the Worlds, Hercules was practicing his disc-throwing for a crowd. Hercules was the demigod son of Lord Zeus, and as such he possessed incredible gifts of strength and durability, always having help from his girlfriend, Meg, hero-traininer, Phil the Satyr, and Pegasus, the winged horse. That day, Hercules was in high spirits, having recently joined the Forces of Good and knowing that the heroes were so far winning in the Struggle for the Orbs. Ty Parsec, the Space Ranger desperate to prove himself, was exploring Thebes and stopped to talk with Herc. In addition to this, another hero joined them. Sura, a wolf from the Jungles of India, littermate of Gray Brother, and foster brother to Mowgli the Man-Cub, also came to Thebes. Sura was a clumsy, awkward wolf who felt under appreciated by his pack and family, but tried often not to show it. He had stumbled through one of the few magical portals that I placed to make parts of the Merged Worlds more easily accessible.
Meanwhile that same day, a mouse named Hi-Tech from the Rescue Aid Society of Mice landed in Hawaii after being given a ride by a bird from his outpost. Hi-Tech was a mouse who's job was only to pass on distress signals to the R.A.S. from his post in an abandoned airplane. A skilled student of Morse-code, but never having done field work, Hi-Tech was immensely surprised when the Society contacted him and asked him to deliver a message personally to Miss Bianca, who was stationed in the Forces of Good. The message was regarding her partner and recent fiancé, Bernard, who was supposed to have joined Miss Bianca in the Pridelands, but had gone missing. Flustered but determined to do a good job, Hi-Tech was on his way there when a seagull swooped down on the beach he had landed on and attempted to eat the inexperienced mouse.
Luckily, Hi-Tech was saved by none other than Stitch, the mutant alien Experiment turned hero. The wacky blue creature had been away from the Forces of Good camp, homesick and spying on his human family. Stitch's family, or ''Ohana was made up of a little girl named Lilo, her older sister Nani, Nani's boyfriend and long-time family friend David, Stitch's reformed evil-genius creator, Jumba Jookiba, and the earth-obsessed former Galactic Agent, Pleakly. In addition to that strange little group, Stitch also had many, many 'cousins'; six hundred and twenty-eight alien mutations like him, to be exact. Despite having all of these family members, Stitch had not been allowed to invite any of them to join the Forces of Good because of the danger, even though anyone who knew Stitch was quite used to peril. Thus, Stitch had been eavesdropping on the family he missed so much, and was on his way back when he noticed and rescued Hi-Tech.
After introducing himself to the mouse, Stitch offered to lead Hi-Tech to the Forces of Good camp using a portal. They were on their way there when Scoot, Mickey Mouse's living scooter, arrived, being lonely without anyone to ride him. This was a blessing, and Stitch and Hi-Tech arrived in the F.O.G. Camp in no time thanks to their vehicular friend.
Later on the eleventh, the leopard princess, Claudia, met with an unexpected danger as she was roaming the Pridelands. The young feline was a daredevil, always out looking for adventure. She came upon it unknowingly while exploring the Gorge, wanting to see the site of the Struggle's first battle. While there, she met an evil mutt named Garm, who served the Horned King for the Forces of Evil as a guard dog. The dull villain had been sent to scout the enemy's territory for weaknesses, and found the leopard cub heroine, instead. Garm did not see any reason to raise the alarm in attacking Claudia, and she did not know that her new aquiantance was a member of the villainous Forces of Evil. They had just begun to chat when they were joined by Sven the reindeer, a large, simpleminded animal from the snowy kingdom of Arendelle. He had joined the Forces of Good in hopes of meeting up with his best friend and human foster brother, Kristoff the Ice Harvester. Kopa, the Prince of the Pridelands with growing feelings for Claudia, and spotted his secret crush at the bottom of the Gorge with the reindeer and Garm, and realized there may be trouble. With him were Bolt the Superdog and Sully, a monster from the world of Monstropolis. They decided to hide and wait to see if Claudia and Sven needed any help in case Garm suddenly dropped the friendly attitude and attacked.
The next day, a large storm moved through the Pridelands. Scrooge McDuck, General Donald's rich old uncle, invited all of the children in the Forces of Good to spend the night in his mansion, and several other heroes joined them, such as the young Virginia Comany Sailor, Thomas, and the motherly female gorilla, Kala, who had once adopted and raised an orphan human child named Tarzan in the African Jungles. They had a lovely evening together, despite the bad weather.
On the thirteenth of July, something much more sinister was happening in the Great Forest. Geno, a baby deer who's father happened to be the Prince of the Forest, the famous Bambi, was lost. He was searching for his sister, Gurri, and had ventured into a darker part of the woods. Instead of finding his family, he met none other than Ronno, a prideful, arrogant bully who had hated Bambi, Geno's dad, for a long time. Ronno was insecure and full of himself, but he was much bigger than poor Geno, being a fully-grown, muscular stag. He had, for a long time, loved Faline, Geno's mother, and never forgave Bambi for winning her heart. In addition to this, Ronno was insanely jealous of Bambi's status as the Young Prince. Ronno had heard of the Struggle for the Orbs from Diablo, Maleficent's pet raven, who often flew about to all the lands, enticing dark-hearted or embittered beings to join the Forces of Evil. Ronno hadn't joined het, but he wanted nothing more than to humiliate his enemies.
Ronno took all of his bitterness out on his rival's son, telling Geno stories of Bambi's cowardice when they were growing up together. Geno refused to believe the lies, however, and, in his anger to protect his father's honor, attacked the adult deer. Though this was brave, it was also foolish; Ronno was easily five times Geno's size, and too much of an honor less bully to refrain from hitting back. Luckily, however, before any real damage could be done, Geno was rescued by an unlikely hero.
This hero was Boris, a tall, wise old dog from New England. Boris had once been a stray, stuck in the pound for months on end. Despite his predicament, the canine had always been optimistic and philosophical, and loved children. This had driven him to leave his new home with his human family just after being adopted and join the Forces of Good, heeding my call and deciding to become one of the Caretakers that watched over the children in the F.O.G. Boris may not have been as big as Ronno, but he was fiercely protective of young ones like Geno, and the dark stag was terrified of dogs due to an experience as a fawn. Having saved Geno, Boris took him back to the Forces of Good's camp, where he could wait until his father, mother, and sister joined the Struggle, too.
That same day of the 14th of June, a new recruit entered the Outlands through the Elephant Graveyard. His name was Valder, and he was a thick-furred wolf from the Dark Forest outside of France. Once having plagued the woods surrounding the Beast's castle, this canine had been separated from his pack shortly after the group of wolves had decided to join the Forces of Evil. Deciding that he would meet them there, Valder made his own way to the F.O.E., and was met by none other than Scar, King of the Outlands and animal General of the Forces of Evil.
Scar was a dark lion, the mate of Zira. He believed that the throne of the Pridelands, and all of Africa, were rightfully his, and had many years ago killed Mufasa, Simba's father, when the former was only a cub. He had nearly succeeded in reigning forever, but Simba had survived his banishment and returned, killing the older lion unintentionally and taking his rightful place as King. Since then Hades, Lord of the Underworld, had included Scar in the ranks of many Villains who had been brought back from the dead to aid the Forces of Evil, and the dark lion was as determined as ever to regain his throne and enact revenge upon Simba and his family. Scar greeted Valder and was joined by Zira. They accepted the wolf into their ranks after making sure he knew who was boss, and the dangers of the Outlands.
Many days later, on the eighteenth, another dog, a puppy, to be exact, had left his homeland. His name was Locker, and he was a mixed-breed pup from a London Pet Shop. Locker was far from being lost and miserable, however; he was bitter towards all humans, and because no one had ever wanted to adopt him or shown him any love, the child was hardened towards the world, believing that anything 'good' was a myth. He expressed this belief to none other than Zira, the Outlander lioness Queen, who had, in fact, been out in charge of any children who might join the Forces of Evil. Seeing potential for hatred and usefulness in Locker, she promised to train him in the ways of killing if he could prove himself within ten days. This was a challenge Locker readily accepted, and a new member of the Forces of Evil was accepted.
The next day on the nineteenth, the Forces of Good were once again in full-swing. Mulan, the Chinese warrior woman, newly healed after her wounds at the Gorge, along with Stitch the mutated alien, led a scouting party made up of the hunchback bell ringer, Quasimodo, Mulan's miniature dragon guardian, Mushu, and Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King to Kauai, Hawaii at the orders of the Virtuous Council. There had been rumors of an Experiment being returned to pod form, and they were being ordered to retrieve it. Without alerting the rest of his 'Ohana to their presence on the island, Stitch pointed the way to Jumba Jookiba's ship in the very backyard of his home, hoping that the Experiment's creator had some technology that could help them find it. The group found the interior of the ship completely trashed and destroyed with mysterious puddles of water being the only clue to the perpetrator.
They didn't need to look far for their original objective, for the minute they entered the ship, Jack picked up the very pod they were looking for. Unfortunately, it slipped through his bony fingers and landed right in the water, thus activating it. The Experiment who had been eactivated ended up being none other than 221, Sparky, and electrifying Experiment who's one true place was in the Lighthouse. Stitch and the others didn't get much of a chance to wonder why or how Sparky had been deactivated, because 221 immediately went into a panicked and violent frenzy. Stitch managed to calm his cousin down, though Sparky seemed to be suffering from headaches as he explained that he did not remember much, only that he had been pushed off of the lighthouse from behind before deactivation.
Later that evening, Stitch enjoyed a romp with his fellow alien through the Forces of Good camp, showing him their tent. He noticed that Sparky continued to act strangely, and even oddly naughty...
The next day, on the twentieth of July, in The Forbidden Mountains of the Forces of Evil, the Wicked Three and a few other important villains such as Lady Tremaine, Randall, a camouflaging monster with desire for revenge on his former workmate Sully, and Captain Hook—a pirate who had been trapped in a child's dreamland called Neverland, fighting a boy who could never age named Peter Pan—all met to discuss the state of their dark army. Chief in their discussion was how to punish Shan Yu and his scouting party for their failure to obtain the First Virtue from the Forces of Good at the Gorge on the tenth of June. Lady Tremaine proved that out of Maleficent, Jafar, and the Horned King, the King seemed to be her favorite. Captain Hook was given orders to use his ship to plague the Forces of Good outposts in any way he could over the waters in his ship, the Jolly Roger. The possibility of obtaining pixie dust to give the boat an opportunity to fly was also mentioned.
Meanwhile that day, Shan Yu was leading a small scouting party through the Great Sand Desert, perhaps because of Lady Tremaine's wild goose chase in search of an Orb in that desert in June. Whatever the reason, he had been given the worst missions ever since his failure on the tenth. At any rate, he ran into none other than Leroy. Leroy was Experiment 629, the last of alien scientist Jumba Jookiba's race of mutant Experiments and one of the only remaining evil ones. He was created a year prior, against Jumba's will, because at the time, Jumba was reformed from making anything evil. In fact, Jumba had been forced at gunpoint to create Leroy by a villainous, hamster-like alien mastermind named Dr. Hämsterviel. Leroy's only goal in life had been to serve his rodent-ish master and help him take over the galaxy. Fortunately, Leroy and his boss had been defeated by Stitch, Jumba, Lilo, and all of the Pelekai's family, including the six hundred and twenty-seven other Experiments. They had done this by playing Aloha Oe, the Hawaiian folk song that Jumba had secretly programmed into Leroy as a weakness as a way of defeating him. He had been thrown into galactic prison, but luckily escaped on his own, crash landing on the Merged-Worlds.
Leroy, being equal to Stitch in every way, as his evil twin, wanted nothing more than to prove he was better than his blue brother, and with that goal still in mind, opted to join the Forces of Evil.
Stitch, meanwhile, was in the Forces of Good camp when he was delighted to find that Lilo had arrived. Lilo Pelekai, a little Hawaiian human with odd interests, was Stitch's very best and closest friend in the world, having turned him good and spent the last five years doing the same to his naughty 'cousins', the other Experiments. Lilo was not originally supposed to follow her blue alien friend to the Struggle by order of the Grand Councilwoman of the Galactic Armada, but goodness knows that could not keep the adventurous child away. She was greeted warmly by Sparky and Stitch. Stitch wasted no time in trying to inform Lilo that there was something wrong with Sparky, who had been becoming more and more misbehaved and suffering from horrible headaches. Sparky was jealous of the attention Lilo gave Stitch, and irritated that his 'cousin' was tattle-taling on him right off the bat. Despite Sparky insisting that he was fine, Stitch would not listen. He took his human companion to see Jack Skellington, who had been there when Sparky was rescued, but Lilo, delighted by the sheer appearance of Jack and very curious, quickly turned the topic of coversation to more fun matters, asking plenty of questions about Halloween Town, and the matter of Sparky's odd actions was forgotten.
The next day, young Aces, the fun-crazy Dalmatian pup, was escaping the watchful eye of Lady Daisy Duck, Head Caretaker of the children, when he came upon Vanellope Von Schweetz. Vanellope was a video game character who had been called by me and arrived in the Forces of Good by way of her candy-covered racing cart. Daisy arrived to retrieve the naughty Aces just as Vanellope's two friends, Wreck-it-Ralph and Fix-it-Felix, arrived as well. Felix and Ralph were from the same game where Felix's duty was to fix whatever Ralph wrecked. While Ralph was in the Forces of Good to protect Vanellope, Felix was only there to beg Ralph to return to their game, which would be 'unplugged' once their absence was noted. Daisy discovered Felix's useful hammer, which could fix many things and even heal minor injuries, and also noted how helpful the huge-handed Ralph could be against the Forces of Evil, and welcomed all three to the F.O.G.
That same day, Mulan started another training session for whoever wanted to join in the Forces of Good, determined to help her fellow heroes learn how to fight. Quasimodo the Hunchback attended, as well as Donald Duck and Robin Hood. Robin Hood was one of the youngest members of the Virtuous Council. He was an anthropomorphic fox from Sherwood Forest who had once been an outlaw, famous for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. The training lesson went much better than Mulan's first class had.
Meanwhile in Agrabah, another hero was troubled. Aladdin had once been a "Street Rat", a homeless, street-smart boy who lived in the marketplace, now the husband to Princess Jasmine and hero of Agrabah, was conflicted. He was in the palace, debating whether he should leave Jasmine and his home to help with the Forces of Good, or remain to help govern his people. After all, he would be Sultan soon. While he was contemplating this, he was paid a visit by none other than Jafar himself. Jafar considered Aladdin to be his bitterest enemy, and wanted nothing more than to crush the boy and all he loved. He taunted Aladdin, appearing by magic.
The next day, the Wicked Three called a meeting that every single member of the Forces of Evil would attend in the dark fortress, Prydain. Little did they all know that the meeting was merely to publicly punish Shan Yu, Gray Brother, Shere Khan, and the other villains who had failed so miserably to gain the Orb on the tenth of June. Present at the meeting were all of the Forces of Evil, including Ronno, the dark deer, and Denahi, a troubled young man seeking revenge for what he thought was his brother's deaths, as well as Dr. Hämsterviel, enemy of Lilo and Stitch and master of Leroy. Maleficent, Jafar, and the Horned King surprised all of the Forces of Evil, finishing their speeches of grandeur by seizing the members of the failed scouting party and punishing them violently and brutally up on a stage. They threatened their army audience with the same treatment if they, too, failed, and stressed the point of how critical it was to capture the Orbs before the Forces of Good. Shan Yu, Shere Khan, and Gray Brother were left disgraced with severe penalties as well as the physical pain to recover from.
The next evening, the 23rd, Mulan led her very own scouting party back to the Forbidden City in her homeland, China. Her party consisted of Ty Parsec the Space Ranger, Sura the wolf, Hi-Tech the mouse, Piglet, Scoot, and Robin Hood. In addition to this, a young but bulky man named Kristoff joined them. He was an ice-harvester from Arendelle, the same kingdom Princess Anna was from; he was actually her boyfriend. He also happened to be the best friend and human foster brother of the reindeer, Sven, who had also joined the party. Another mouse was also with them; a sharp-minded detective named Basil of Baker Street, London. Armed with his magnifying glass and a keen instinct for clues, the mouse was there to help.
While Mulan and her group scaled the many stairs to the palace, hoping to speak to The Emperor himself on behalf of King Mickey and ask if any Orbs had been seen or found, Piglet stayed with Scoot in the courtyard, as the little bike was unable to ride up the steps. It was lucky that they were there, because as they waited for their friends to return, they caught sight of Lady Tremaine in the city. What could she be doing there? Before they could ask questions, Lady Tremaine subdued Scoot and kidnapped Piglet.
Knowing nothing of this, Mulan, Sura, Robin Hood and the others all began to notice something strange was going on in the city. From their view at the top of the palace steps, they could see that all of the Chinese citizens seemed to be inexplicably falling asleep where they stood! Only the hero party was unaffected. Basil quickly deduced that it must be caused by the water supply of the city. Whoever had done this couldn't have done it by accident. Fearing the worst, Mulan led her scouting party in a charge through the gates, the guards asleep. She knew that they had to reach the Emperor and the Imperial Princesses.
As they entered the courtyard and headed for the doors to the palace, they were stopped by the voice of Shan Yu. The Hun General of the Forces of Evil had broken the Wicked Three's commands; technically, he was still supposed to be 'grounded' from leaving Prydain. Sore and furious after his humiliating public punishment, Shan Yu had disobeyed. He had conspired with Lady Tremaine to put the entire Imperial City to sleep so that he could kill the Emperor and bring back the great leader's head to the Wicked Three to redeem himself. He had tricked some and convinced other villains to join him so that they could be his reinforcements in case any resistance was met. Confident, he confronted Mulan, and a battle ensued. It ended with the Emperor safe, but during the course of the events, Shan Yu and his villains found something else to redeem the disgraced Forces of Evil General—an Orb of Power. Taking their grand compensation prize back to the Outlands, Shan Yu was pardoned.
At this point, the Forces of Good had one Orb, and the Forces of Evil had one. The other eight Orbs of Power remained scattered in unknown locations throughout the Merged Worlds.
On the 24th, as if the loss of the Virtue in China wasn't enough, King Mickey and the Forces of Good were distraught to learn that innocent, trusting little Piglet had been captured during the events in the Imperial City. Back in Prydain, Lady Tremaine had the little pig locked in the dungeons, but could gain nothing interrogating him. Finding this, she decided to let Gray Brother, the Forces of Good spy, and Valder, the new villain who had actually befriended Piglet on the Border some days before, kill the prisoner. Before the wolves were forced to carry out this order, Piglet's friends managed to come and rescue him, returning the little guy safely back to the Forces of Good Camp in the Pridelands.
On the 25th, the day started out well. King Mickey Mouse and his living scooter, Scoot, discovered a happy surprise just entering the camp; Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald had been a Toon long before Mickey, but when the Mouse took his place in the spotlight, Oswald was sentenced to my world for the Forgotten, Wastelnd, long ago. Quite a bit before the Struggle, Mickey had adventured into and helped Oswald save Wasteland, making them fast friends and even brothers. However, until recently, Oswald could not leave Wasteland. Not until his fame spread and his 'Toon heart' returned. Now he was joining the Forces of Good after being called by me to aid Mickey.
Unfortunately, the happiness of the day did not last long.
Later that day, Mickey, Donald, and Akela were in the Command Tent at the center of the Forces of Good camp, looking over the maps and plotting out their next course of action. Suddenly, Scoot, Mickey's living, simple-minded scooter, motored into the tent, panicked. Unable to speak more than the word 'Mickey', he could not tell them what had spooked him so. Mickey and the other Generals left the tent at the sound of loud booming, only to see the horrifying sight of a gigantic, menacing robot called the Omnidroid right on top of the camp. It was escorted by it's creator, an enemy of the Incredibles family named Syndrome, hovering above in his rocket boots. With him was a small collection of other Forces of Evil, animals like Tama, the rogue former Pridelander lioness, Zira, Scar's mate with a vendetta against the Lion King Simba, and Gray Brother, the horrified Forces of Good double-agent. There was also Leroy, perched atop the Omnidroid.
The attack had been planned between the Horned King and Syndrome, who wanted to prove himself better than Shan Yu. It's purpose: To take back the Virtue that the Forces of Good had captured in the Gorge and cause as much damage and bloodshed as possible in the process.
Chaos descended as the robot began firing on the camp with lasers and missiles, setting tents ablaze and causing earth-shaking explosions and panic all around. Mickey quickly organized his stunned Generals, ordering Akela to find as many heroes as he could and get them to protect the Orb, which was stashed behind Pride Rock in a special tent. General Donald Duck, meanwhile, organized the heavy-hitting or superpowered members of the Forces of Good such as Bolt, Ty Parsec, and Hercules, as well as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his remote, concentrating all their defenses on the Omnidroid, which proved to be nearly indestructible. Meanwhile, all over camp, tragedy and pademonium ensued. Some were lucky, like Stitch and Lilo, who's tent merely collapsed on them instead of being his by a missile or laser, or Lucky the Dalmatian, who was outside of his own tent when a laser hit it. Others were not so fortunate. Muan, Tojo, Jack, and Mushu's tent was burned to the ground, though none of them were in it. Aces, the mischievous puppy, got in more trouble than he bargained for when he became trapped in the burning Pumpkin Tent. Jim Hawkins, the young Spacer, was thrown through the air by an explosion.
Stitch managed to drag his little friend, Lilo, out from under their tent unharmed. She came up with a quick plan to help; Stitch would distract the Omnidroid while the electricity-able Sparky would drain the robot of it's power. Her plan went wrong, though, when Sparky was tackled off of the 'droid by Leroy, intensifying one of his many headaches and bringing to light his worsening strange condition. He did, however, manage to rip a hole in the Omnidroid's armor. Lilo tried to help by throwing a rock at the red monster, and she would have paid dearly for it, if not for Stitch.
Lucky hurriedly managed to find Two-Tone and Scamp in all of the pandemonium, and together they discovered Miss Bianca trying desperately to direct Aces out of the burning Pumpkin Tent. Meanwhile, Ty Parsec, being one of the very few heroes who could fly, used his Space Ranger suit to battle Syndrome in the air. Donald attempted to help, using the indestructible club I gave him to literally bat missiles and laser rays away from the camp. Syndrome, seeing this, managed to pause in his battle long enough to direct the Omnidroid to both attack Donald and fire a missile at Pride Rock. Donald was protected just in the nick of time by Violet Parr with her force field, but the missile hit it's mark, causing a rockfall to seal off the entrance to the Medical Den, trapping young Jenny Foxworth, the eight year-old Medical Assistant, inside while Daisy frantically called for help.
Other heroes tried to put out the fires or fix tents all around camp as the attack was going on. Fix-It-Felix wasn't able to fix tents nearly as quickly as they were being destroyed, even when he was given a lift by Vanellope Von Schweetz. GizmoDuck, a duck in a gadget-filled GizmoSuit who's job was normally as a bodyguard of Scrooge McDuck, attempted to put out as many fires as he could before noticing the situation at the Medical Den and arriving to help at the same time as Mulan and the two video game characters.
Down in the camp, some heroes were valiantly putting up a fight with the villains making their way towards the Virtue. Jack Skellington and Mushu did battle with Tama the lioness, while Gray Brother, just for appearances' sake, staged a fake battle with Bolt the Superdog. Kovu, boyfriend of the Lion Princess Kiara and former heir of Scar and Outlander Assasin, came face to face with his mother, Zira, who tried to manipulate him into joining the Forces of Evil again.
Mickey, whistling for Scoot, rode through the mayhem-filled camp, determined to reach the Orb and do what he could to protect it from the attackers. Syndrome followed with Ty Parsec in hot pursuit, ordering the Omnidroid to go after Mickey. It did so, retracting it's spider-like limbs until it was only a gigantic metal ball, rolling over tents as it chased down Mickey and his scooter.
While this was going on, Daisy, GizmoDuck, Mulan, Felix, and Vanellope were trying to remove the rubble from the Medical Den and free Jenny. Quasimodo had come to aid Bianca, Lucky, Two-Tone, and Scamp in saving young Aces. Akela had reached the Orb, wrapped it in a piece of tent canvas, and was carrying it as quickly as he could to the relative safety of my Tower.
The Omnidroid, still rolling on Mickey and Scoot's heels, appeared to crush Piglet, a harmless resident of the Hundred Acre Wood book. What Mickey did not see was that Piglet had actually managed to squeeze inside the Omnidroid through the hole Sparky had made. He promptly began attacking the core of the robot by hitting it with a spoon. This eventually caused the machine to self-destruct--but not before Piglet got out and the 'droid used the last of it's strength the crush Mickey's scooter, Scoot.
When the Omnidroid exploded, Syndrome, being nearly helpless against the entirety of the Forces of Good, promptly retreated, flying back to the Outlands without caring whether the rest of the villains he had brought followed or not. They did, slowly but surely. Zira left Kovu with her dark proposition. Gray Brother was only too happy to get away from the fiery scene of the Forces of Good, believing that it was his fault and he could have done something to warn his friends. Leroy left much more reluctantly, but having only left Galactic prison recently, he did not want to be captured again.
Mickey knelt near his bent and broken little machine, grief-stricken and desperate to save the living Scooter. He was taken to the Medical Den, where Jenny was being freed with help from Lady Daisy, Mulan, Vanellope, and GizmoDuck. It was doubtful that the decimated machine would pull through.
Later that afternoon, the heroes began the depressing task of rebuilding, every one of them stricken and in shock. Princess Tiana, a determined and hard-working young woman from New Orleans who had married into royalty after an adventure that involved her being briefly transformed into a frog along with her lover, came to try and lift spirits with a bountiful lunch break. Mulan tried to console those gathered by telling them she would be sure to ask me why I did not help the Forces of Good in their time of need, while in the Medical Den, Scoot's life ebbed away.
As he was eating his lunch, preparing to continue with the repairs, Stitch was surprised by the appearance of his girlfriend, Experiment 624: "Angel". He was absolutely in love with her, and so, overjoyed to see her. The destruction of the day did not seem so bad when his special one was around. Angel was not the only one to join the Forces of Good that dark day. Sally, a living, life-sized rag doll from Halloween Town and Jack Skellington's soulmate, also joined up that day, looking for her dear friend, as he was needed back home. They met and shared a happy reunion similar to Stitch and Angel's.
The very next day, on the twenty-sixth, a diabolical plan was hatching on the peaceful islands of Hawaii. Dr. Hämsterviel, the evil space-gerbil nemesis of Lilo and Stitch, and his henchman, the Stitch-look-alike, Leroy, broke into Jumba Jookiba's ship. With most of the Pelekais away in the Pridelands, helping the Forces of Good, the ship was unguarded, and Hämsterviel knew that it could be full of useful weapons and alien technology that the Forces of Evil would be glad to possess. He and Leroy snuck in to find that the ship was in the same state Stitch, Mulan, Quasimodo, Jack Skellington, and Mushu had left it after finding Sparky's deactivated pod inside.
After a brief search, they discovered something enter than either of them had dreamed of finding; an Experiment pod. Not just any Experiment pod, but one marked 'Experiment 628'. Jumba had apparently created yet another rival to Stitch after the defeat of Experiment 627, but had hidden the pod away without ever activating it for three years. Leroy and Hämsterviel wasted no time in remedying that, stealing the capsule and activating Experiment 628.
The Experiment brought to life called himself Dark, and in addition to speaking perfect English, was capable of teleporting, super-strength, and commanding dark energy. He agreed to join up with Leroy and Hamsterviel and the Forces of Evil, stating that his only purpose in life was to destroy and prove himself better than Stitch. After stealing three communication bracelets from Jumba's lab, the trio of evildoing aliens returned to the Outlands.
Meanwhile, the Forces of Good were mourning. They held a brief funeral for Scoot the scooter, who had been killed by the Omnidroid during the deadly Attack from the Forces of Evilthe day before. Mickey Mouse took this especially hard, blaming himself for being the closest but unable to protect his friend when the horrible moment of death had come. Stitch was also there, having befriended the fun-loving vehicle shortly before it's demise. In addition to this, Daisy, Donald, GizmoDuck, Lucky, and several other heroes were there to pay their respects at the grave out in the Grasslands.
That evening, one of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's bunny children arrived in the Forces of Good camp, knowing nothing of the sad cloud of grief that hung over the heroes there. His full name was Oswald Junior the Fourth, but he simply went by the nickname "Four". Four was determined to become a hero, like his father and Uncle Mickey, and had followed Oswald to the Pridelands after reading the letter I sent to the Lucky Rabbit. He was hopping around camp, hoping to hide from his father until he could prove his usefulness, when he was met by young Geno, the fawn son of Bambi. The two introduced each other, and Geno offered to help Four settle in.
Meanwhile, that same day in the kingdom of Arendelle, Kristoff and his reindeer friend Sven took a trip back home and spent a relaxing evening bonding as they harvested ice blocks for the Forces of Good.
The next evening, the twenty-seventh, Sura the wolf was revisiting his home in the Indian Jungle, out for a hunt. He had been feeling more and more inadequate around the Forces of Good camp, and was hoping to clear his head in familiar territory. Gray Brother was also out hunting in his homeland by coincidence, oppressed by the dark atmosphere he'd been working in as a double-agent spy in the Forces of Evil. He did not expect to run into his brother, and though the two were happy to see one another, conditions of the Struggle made the meeting awkward. They began to argue with one another; Sura felt useless at the Forces of Good camp, and Gray Brother was outraged that his brother could feel so sorry for himself, bitter about his own increasingly depressing and confusing role as a double-agent in the hostile Forces of Evil territory. Bagheera the panther, a long-time friend of the wolf pack and a wise role model for the Man-Cub brother of the two canines, Mowgli, arrived and interrupted them, scolding the brothers for arguing.
Meanwhile, back at Camp, Ty Parsec was furious. He had received a message from Star Command; they were sending him back-up. Another agent was to arrive that day. Irritated and believing that he could handle this mission himself despite the disastrous Attack on the 25th, Ty impatiently waited for his fellow Ranger to arrive in the Merged Worlds.
While the new recruit never showed up, much to Ty Parsec's relief, another new hero did arrive at the Hero Camp that day. His name was Skippy, and he was an anthropomorphic rabbit from Nottingham. The child was a huge fan and young friend of Robin Hood, the hero of Sherwood Forest, and had come to the Forces of Good hoping to find his idol and help in the fight with his own little bow. He was greeted and welcomed by Geno, Little Prince of the Great Forest, and helped to settle in.
The next night, in the dungeons of Prydain, Jafar, the Horned King, and Maleficent paid a visit to their latest prisoner, who was none other than Prince Adam, the Beast. Adam had, three years ago, been a spoiled, selfish, and unkind ruler of a countryside kingdom in France. Because of his utter selfishness and the lack of love in his heart, he had been cursed. While his castle was twisted and darkened, his servants became living household items, and he was transformed into a hideous, primitive Beast. The only way to break that curse was for the Beast to learn to love another and earn her love in return before the last petal fell from an Enchanted Rose on his twenty-first birthday. The last year, Beast had fallen in love with a beautiful maiden named Belle, and earned her love in return after many adventures, and his curse had been broken. He and all of the castle and it's occupants were restored, turned human again.
No sooner had the two been married and their life together began, than Belle disappeared. Not knowing that she had gone to join the Forces of Good, Prince Adam went out to look for her, he had just left his castle when Jafar attacked, transporting him to Prydain and keeping him prisoner. After many painful magic spells, and without revealing his reasons why, Jafar and the Wicked Three had transformed Prince Adam back into a Beast and left him chained in the dungeons.
Meanwhile, on the edge of the Outlands, Valder stumbled upon a strange woman on the Savannah. The wolf learned that the stranger's name was Mirage, who was a crafty, intelligent, sly spy who had experience working with Syndrome, and had actually been his girlfriend before betraying him to help the heroic Incredibles. Now, she decided to inspect and learn the motives of the Forces of Evil before deciding what to do and what her part would be in the Struggle for the Orbs. She was also met by Lady Tremaine, who was eager to find another manipulative mind to report to the Horned King, and Denahi. Denahi, the Inuit hunter who was haunted by the deaths of his brothers, wanted only one thing in life; to kill the bears who had brutally murdered his older and younger siblings. What he did not know was that his younger brother, Kenai, was still alive, but had been transformed into a bear himself. Denahi decided that he had nothing left to live for besides revenge, and had chosen to join the Forces of Evil in order to get it. He helped Lady Tremaine and Valder to welcome Mirage.
That same evening in the Forces of Good camp, Princess Rapunzel and Thomas welcomed two new children into the Forces of Good. One was Taran, a young lad who had once helped to destroy the Horned King and dreamed of being an expert swordsman. The other was one of the one-hundred and one Dalmatians, the adoptive brother to Lucky, Aces, Two-Tone, Tripod, Patch, and many more. His name was Sparky (not to be confused with Stitch's brother) and he had received my call, as well. Lucky himself soon showed up, having ditched his babysitters once again, and decided to spend his time showing Sparky the camp.
Meanwhile, I received a visitor in my Tower. Young Thomas, the sailor and colonist of the Virginia Company, was troubled. He, much like Sura the wolf, felt that he wasn't doing much to help in the Struggle, and was so conflicted that he came to me, trying to understand why he had even been called. After questioning him, hoping that he himself would see the reason, I reassured the boy that he was a hero unlike others; he valued life and retained some of his innocence.
As this was going on, something far more deadly was happening in the Grasslands. Just outside of the Forces of Good camp, Stitch, the blue alien mutation, was visiting Scoot's grave. He was lonely after Lilo had left. His Hawaiian companion had returned to her island home after being ordered to by the Grand Councilwoman and her older sister Nani, but she promised to return to help Stitch and round up his cousins, other Experiments like Sparky (221) and Angel (624) to make up for it. While Stitch tried to pay his respects, he was interrupted by none other than Dark.
Experiment 628 was a charismatic fellow, and did not attack immediately, though it was the reason he had been created. He informed a very surprised Stitch of who he was, but angered the blue mutant by questioning whether Scoot was worth mourning. The two began to fight, with Leroy and Hämsterviel, who had not given Dark permission to go into enemy territory and attack, watching from their wrist-bracelets. Leroy was furious that Dark was trying to eliminate his rival without him. The battle raged, but Stitch was, in the end, defeated. Instead of fulfilling his life mission and killing the blue hero, Dark unpredictably left, wanting to battle Stitch when his opponent was better prepared.
The next day, on the twenty-ninth, Stitch took Angel out for a date in the Hakuna Matata Paradise of the African Jungle. The two shares a happy picnic by a waterfall, overjoyed to be reunited after so much time apart.
That evening in the Grasslands near the Border, violence broke out. Kovu, the son of Zira and foster-heir of Scar, as well as fiancé to Lion Princess Kiara, was leading a border patrol made up of Sulley, Thomas, and Hazel, when they discovered trespassers. A small group of the Forces of Evil made up of Denahi, Ronno, and Valder, as well as a video-game racer called Nill—who was jealous of her game's star, Turbo— were on a recon mission for the Wicked Three, aiming to see how far they could get into enemy territory without being spotted, looking for any weaknesses in the border.
A fight ensued with Valder and Denahi attacking Thomas while Ronno squared off with Hazel and Kovu chased Nill up a tree.
The next day marked the ten days Zira had assigned to young Locker to survive in the Outlands on his own passing. He was welcomed fully into the Forces of Evil as their first child recruit, and Zira promptly began training him to hunt.
On the twenty-third, an unthinkably horrible event occurred. The Wicked Three—Jafar, Maleficent, the Horned King—used their only Orb, transformed into a dark Spite, to cast a curse that split the Merged Worlds into two dimensions and ejected my Tower from the Pridelands, where I could only watch, helpless. Both dimensions seemed exactly alike except for one thing—the Adults were in one, while the children were stranded in the other. This affected the Forces of Evil, as well, but because that only meant Locker, Leroy, and Dark were on their own, they risked it. It was complete tragic havoc for the Forces of Good, however, who had a huge amount of children to look after and no way to get to or communicate with them.
Lucky the Dalmatian helped to organize the children into miniature scouting parties of their own, deciding to go through the entire camp to make sure all of the adults were really gone before they did anything else. In the Adult Dimension, Boris and Lady Daisy did much the same thing, searching everywhere for the kids and fearing the worst. None of them had any idea where their missing friends—children or adult—could be, and did not know anything about the dimension split.
Meanwhile in the Forces of Evil, the Children's Dimension, Prydain, the three villains guarded the Spite. The Orbs could exist simultaneously in both dimensions during the Split, and without the Spite that Maleficent, the Horned King, and Jafar were using to concentrate the spell, the dimensions would be brought back together. Therefore, Dark, Locker, and Leroy guarded the Orb in case the hero children somehow figured out what was going on an mounted a charge on the fortress. The chances of this happening were so slim that they began to get to know one another.
The next day, the curse had still not been resolved. Sparky, the Dalmatian puppy, sat on the tip of Pride Rock, depressed and bored. Prince Geno came to talk with him, and they wondered how they would ever get things back to normal.
On the thirtieth, the dimensions still separate, Sparky the Dalmatian was out hunting, knowing that, adults or no adults, they still had to feed themselves, when Lucky joined him.
Year 1,
By Master Yen Sid, Sorcerer of the Stars
