Now, obviously, Mickey and his cartoon pals aren't always suited to the harsh plot lines of the other Disney characters like Simba or even Cinderella. In the continuity of Disney Destiny, the Sensational Six are all marked Companions to the King by Yen Sid, and are with Mickey from the very beginning, helping him gather heroes to make up the Forces of Good. Each Companion to the King was given a special ability so that they could aid Mickey in his fight against evil.
Below are guidelines that you need to read if you're applying for one of the Sensational Six and Co./Companions to the King.
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse, dubbed "King Mickey" by his former sorcerer Master, Yen Sid, takes back up his mantle as the Sorcerer's Apprentice and is given a magical hat of his own, with the power of which he can cast bolts of sparkling, fire-works-like light and direct them where to go, like shooting stars that can change direction.
Not much changes about Mickey in the Disney Destiny plot, other than his title and his powers, along with his role as leader of the Forces of Good. Mickey Mouse is at first very shy about his position, but he grows into it and knows how to use his authority well and get the job done honorably. He wears his red robe (still too big for him) and his Sorcerer's Hat. He leads the Virtuous Council, and with their aid and advice, governs over the Heroes, all of whom are meant to obey his orders, whether they think he is a short and silly leader or not.
Minnie Mouse
Minnie's role in Disney Destiny is Queen Minnie—she supports Mickey in all that he does, and normally stays out of battles. However, she was granted a unique ability by Yen Sid: Minnie can use the Virtues like cameras. Looking into their depths, she can see out of other Orbs that may be far away, even if they are in Spite forms, allowing her to observe skirmishes or get a hint at where lost Orbs may be hidden from the safety of Yen Sid's Tower.
If Mickey leaves Pride Rock for whatever reason, Minne is acting Regent in his place, and second-in-command when he is not around. She wears her normal clothing, though in place of her bow is a lovely crown that her friend Daisy Duck fashioned for her.
Donald Duck
Donald is a General; his role is to protect Pride Rock, Yen Sid's Tower, and defend the Virtues. Donald uses his temper and a club-like staff as a weapon. He wears a blue coat with the Forces of Good emblem on it, and his hat has a peacock feather sprouting from the top.
One of his abilities, granted to him by Yen Sid, is being able to cause a shockwave to erupt from any Orb of Power, whether Virtue or Spite, as long as he is near it. This wave of destruction is very powerful, and can fling even the largest person within a 60 foot radius up to two miles away.
It's a good way to clear a battlefield that is becoming too chaotic, but the Orb does not discern between Villains and Heroes, and can harm Donald's friends as well as his enemies if they don't get behind suitable cover before he uses his gift. It also can only be used once per day, and it drains Donald of most of his strength, and often he can't even stand after doing it.
Donald is in charge of the troops that guard the Pridelands, and when he isn't needed desperately in a battle outside of the Heroes' territory, he can be found training heroes with the other lead members of the army (although his temper and impatience make this a bit unpleasant for the faint hearted). All of the Captains, even the strongest Heroes, answer to General Donald, who answers to Mickey.
Daisy Duck
Lady Daisy, as Donald's girlfriend is referred to, has two roles in this war: Lead Medic and Head Caretaker. As Lead Medic, Daisy is in charge of all doctors, healers, and Medics, so she is often found in the Pride Rock Cave, which has been fashioned as a type of Medical Base. She tends to the sick or wounded. As Head Caretaker, the female duck is the spokeswoman and boss of the group of older members in the Forces of Good who take care of the young or inexperienced, whether the children are animals, human, or otherwise, trying to keep the children out of the bloodiest parts of the war and teaching them the basics.
Daisy's responsibilities in the Tower and on Pride Rock keep her too busy to battle, but she does have one very secret, very special ability. If a total of three Orbs of Power in Virtue Form are collected and brought to Daisy, she can use them to heal a single wound, no matter how devastating it is. It's even said that this power can revive a person who is dead, but only if the victim is healed within a day of their passing. Yen Sid warned Daisy that she could only use this gift five times in all over the course of the battle. The Virtuous Council keeps this particular ability a secret, not wanting the Villainous side to learn of it and try to capture and force Daisy into using it on one of the enemy.
Daisy, still retaining her vanity and gossiping nature, wears a light blue fitted gown made of scrubs material, which has a hood, along with her normal matching bow.
Goofy
Goofy is called Sir Goofy ever since Yen Sid appointed him as the leader of Mickey's Scouts, as he now organizes the search parties and patrols that search for the Virtues and engage the Forces of Evil in battle over them. Goofy isn't at the head of every squadron, but they all answer to him. His ability, which Yen Sid gave him, is that he is able to sense when an Orb is being affected by evil, about to turn in to a Spite, or if one is close. Goofy might not be the most logical choice to be organizing anything, given his silly nature, but he is utterly loyal to Mickey, and his heart is always in the right place.
For a weapon, Goofy carries a magical sword that glows whenever he is near a Virtue. He wears a green set of armor over his yellow clothes, and his hat is adorned by a feather (since his head is pretty sturdy), along with a belt to hold his sword (and keep his pants up). Goofy is rarely around Pride Rock, always tagging along on missions into other lands to find the Virtues, but when he is, he reports to King Mickey all of his findings.
Pluto
Pluto doesn't get a fancy title. His role is to constantly be by either Mickey or Minnie's side, guarding them. When the faithful mutt isn't doing that, he's guarding the areas where Virtues captured by the Forces of Good are kept, or carrying messages to and from Mickey and Yen Sid. He has only one magical ability—he always seems to know, one way or another, where Mickey and Minnie are. Yen Sid did not explain how this could help when he gave the gift to Pluto.
The yellow pup sports only one change; a mouse-ears pendant, the emblem of the Forces of Good, dangles from his collar and glows when one of the Sensational Six may be in danger.
