Mulan let out a small sigh at the turn out. It was just less then twenty people, but that should have been a relief to her. However, she knew there were more who needed training. Maybe they just didn't want to be trained by her, but still some of the others that had shown up made her a bit nervous. But she should start somewhere."OK everyone, I am Fa Mulan. The King and General Donald have granted me permission to train those who want to be trained in combat. Let's start with uh...everyone's determination I guess," she said loudly, and quickly glanced at a long table with bowls of noodles, sushi, and chop sticks. She was just winging it. She had been up all night writing in her journal, planning on what to do, but someone must have taken it. She couldn't find it today, and she forgot everything. Plus she was running late, so she had to leave without it, and the noddles and sushi were just for lunch, but would quickly make the chopsticks slippery. It would take a while to get some sushi eaten with them, which sort of made sense, she thought, since most first classes are easy, and you don't get to the big stuff until later. Although, maybe some of the others would think it a bit unworthy and easy. But it did take twenty minutes for her to get two pieces sushi eaten at dinner when she was little, so maybe it would be hard.

(Random, but when I saw the title I sang the song it's pulled from. XD)
Okay, what was this? Jim's stormy gaze followed the woman's to the long table, this was what she called a test of determination? Well, the youth had seen worse ways to test one's drive to achieve something. Still, what did what was obviously meant to be food have to do with determination. Stepping forward so that he was at the front of the crowd he rose a brow at the woman in question.
"Uh, what does food have to do with determination?" He was sure that it was a question that was on everyone else's minds as well, after all how hard could it be to simply 'eat'? It seemed very off to the young spacer and he thought it better to ask questions and get answers instead of just following along. After all who was going to take this girl seriously if all they were doing was having lunch?
"Not to sound rude, but really what could be so difficult about a bowl of...of... Whatever that stuff is?"
--------------------
Clear blues scanned the large table for a moment before creamy colored paws moved him forward, the lion had his doubts as the boy had just spoken, but he wasn't going to question Mulan's motives, he was sure she knew what she was doing. Tojo came to stand beside Jim and offered the woman an encouraging smile.
"I am sure that whatever you have planned for us, will do just what it was laid out for." His voice was deep but soft, almost caring in it's tone. "Now, all I ask is what is it we are to do? I am sure I'm not the only one confused by these means." He cast Jim a look as he said this, though it was directed at Mulan.
Tojo held no doubts in her, just in what it was she may have planned for them. After all a nervous leader led to nervous followers.

A very disruptive little alien hadn't planned on attending any training group today. No, he was too busy exploring the camp, sticking his big blue nose into people's tents, and causing a half-unintentional ruckus wherever he went.
But then something happened that probably jeopardized whatever Mulan had planned for an exercise—Stitch smelled the sushi table.
Now, while unusually picky about the strangest things—a new flavor of shave ice that he hadn't tried before, for example—Stitch also had odd tastes, even for an outer space alien. He ate flashlights, batteries and all, head of coconut cake, macadamia nuts with the can, various types of beach garbage, almost every insect you could name, and left shoes. So when his large nose led him, sniffing in a rudely loud manner, right into the young woman's training class, and his shiny black orbs locked onto the sushi, he didn't hesitate. With a gasp of glee and curiosity, the fluffy mutant began wedging his way through the group.
"Bootifa!" he was just exclaiming in delight, slobbering, as he got to the front row and was about to dash between a lion and a young boy to attack the table.

Mulan bit her lip. She didn't really expect everyone to go along with this. Well, at least without someone asking why...although, when Jim asked, she felt her face go red, but she regained a bit of her confidence when Tojo grinned at her.
"Well...it will...show your determination to get food to feed yourself. I don't know what you use in space, if you are from space. You said you were an alien. Well, in China, we use chopsticks, and they are not easy to grab things with, and this should be even more difficult because I made the sticks even more slippery." she finished with pride. At least she thought it was pride she was showing, but could not let on she was just winging it like she always did, and everytime she had to wing it there always had to be something that had to go wrong. This time it was that little blue thing that started to make his way through the crowd with his eyes on the sushi and noodles. Mulan started to panic and started to crawl around the floor, looking for anything she could use to hit or keep him away with.

Too late! Stitch scrambled up the leg of the table, insect-like with his extra arms adding speed. He skittered onto the table, stood in the middle of it. His beady black eyes went wide in great delight and his antennae swung and swayed with the motion of him turning to look at each dish. It all smelled so interesting!
There were noodles, which were always fun and messy, but what really caught his attention was the sushi. If 626 had tried this food before, he'd forgotten. "Mmmm!" he swung his slavering pink tongue around his wide-set lips and immediately face-planted onto the platter with a hungry snarl. Of course, he didn't think about the fact that this food might not be intended for him. To the blue mutant, it was eat first, ask questions when your belly was full.

Was this girl serious? Most planets knew well enough about space travel right? Well, he could guess that, despite there numbers growing less and less by the day, there were still some planets who knew little to none of just how advanced the galaxy around them really was. He turned his gaze on Tojo as the lion stepped forward, but said nothing to him, instead focusing back on their 'teacher'.
"Oh, well. We use, you know, the usual, knife, fork, spoons, all that advanced stuff like that." He felt his smirk widened as her confidence started to leave her face. "I'm not really an 'alien', by your terms, I'm human, like you, I was just born and raised on a different planet. It's no big deal really." His attention was turned away from the woman however as something rush past his leg. Looking down he seen a blue streak that was headed straight for the table, Mulan seemed to have noticed him as well as she quickly began to look for someway to stop him but it was too late. He'd already been on the table among the rows of food.
Jim left both the lion and girl standing there and walked over to the table. "You know, that isn't just your's right?" He reached out a hand and firmly gripped Stitch by his scruff before lifting him from the table. "Now, be a good little... Whatever you are and wait for Miss teacher over there's word like the rest of us, you can do that right?"

Mulan, not seeing Jim grabbing Stitch, grabbed the nearest staff and swung it in a random direction. Although it hit no one, it did hit a tree sending, Mulan tumbling into the tall grass. She slowly sat up and spat out a bit of grass as she looked at the table. Fortunately, Stitch only seemed to have been able to get only one of the bowls. She heaved a heavy sigh. "Well I guess that will have to be his bowl, at least if he is going to try and use the chopsticks. But I would be happy if he doesn't eat all of the sushi."

Stitch's large eyes went from Jim to Mulan as he hung in the young man's grasp. A little guilt weighed his ears down. Oops. He smiled sheepishly at the two, surveying the wreckage of the bowl of sushi he'd devoured.
If Lilo were here, she'd be frowning disapprovingly at him, or apologizing to the lady with the pole on his behalf. Since his companion wasn't around, Stitch blinked, trying to look as cute and innocent as possible. Looking up at their unhappy faces, he knew he couldn't keep that up. "Sorry." He said in his quiet, garbled voice.
He didn't know that Mulan had been planning anything. Of course, he hadn't stopped to reason, but...well, now he was determined to stick around and make up for his theft. The little alien opened his big circular jaws up wide, like they were hinged, the way his little Hawaiian friend made him do to play records. Undoubtedly, a rancid smell probably came from the back of his throat, but 626 never noticed it, and now was not an exception.
Reaching in to his own throat with one hand, which made him swing in Jim's grip, he pulled from somewhere within his fluffy blue body a smelly, saliva-covered, half-digested piece of sushi as a peace offering. Holding it out in Mulan's direction, he resumed the toothy grin apologetically. "Here!"

"Oh...that's ok li-ack," she choked and leaned back when Stitch offered her a piece of half digested food. The smell was horrible, and the saliva made it seem like she was smelling rotten fish partially disguised with dolphin, which she hated. She tried to hold her sickness, but the smell was a bit too strong, and she jumped back into the grass where you could hear chunks of sick hitting the ground. A few seconds later, Mulan emerged, wiping her mouth with her sleeve and holding her nose. "I am fine, thank you, no really thanks," she said, forcing a smile and wishing she had Kri-Cee.

Stitch's ears swung themselves back up and faced Mulan's direction as she threw up into the grass. Delighting in all things disgusting, Stitch's smile grew wider in glee and his nose twitched. He almost laughed, but decided not to as he was still being held and the young woman was coming back, pinching her own sniffer.
"I am fine, thank you, no really thanks," she rushed. Her voice sounded funny with her nose being held.
Stitch was about to pop the half-eaten piece of food back into his mouth when he remembered the young man who was still grasping him by the scruff of the neck. It would be impolite to only offer it to the pretty lady. He looked up at the face of the one who held him and gave him a turn to have the chance at the half-digested snack. "Uunh?" Stitch grunted in a tone that clearly suggested the words, 'How about you?'
